Stuff I LOVE
All stuff I use and Love. I'm a penny pincher and hate buying things that don’t have an excellent return on investment. Here are my absolute faves for my photography business:
I'm a Nikon girl, but I don't recommend one brand over another. I switched to Sony for a bit and went right back after about 6 months. I feel like Nikon works best with my style. That's why I'm not listing any brand specific equipment like my camera body or lenses. If you're curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon z8 and lean heavily on the Nikkor 85mm 1.2.

Favorite Purchases for My Photography Business
Godox Flash
My Godox flash is always in my bag just in case. You never know when you'll need a little or a lot of extra light. I use this flash more outdoors than indoors and usually use it off camera with a trigger. For portraits, this diffuser is my go-to.

Neewer Reflector
An awesome reflector can make a huge difference in your portraits. I have this 43 Inch Light Reflector Diffuser 5 in 1 Collapsible Multi Disc with Bag.
Neewer Backdrop Stand
For the tiny amount of Indoor studio work I do I use a Neewer brand backdrop stand with Savage seamless paper. The stand is inexpensive and lightweight, not to mention it comes with it's own bag. I find it really easy to set up by myself.
CFexpress Memory Card (SanDisk Extreme Pro)
Fast, rugged storage that keeps up with high-speed shooting and large RAW files. A must-have for any pro photographer. I keep a spare in my bag at all times!

Best Photography Reads
The best photography books for inspiration and skill-building are the ones that help you see differently. Two of my all-time favorites are Read This If You Want to Take Great Photographs by Henry Carroll and The Photographer’s Eye: A Graphic Guide by Michael Freeman.
These books are incredible resources for photographers at any stage because they break down composition, visual storytelling, and design principles in a way that’s easy to understand. If you’re looking to improve your photography style, train your creative eye, and create more intentional, emotionally engaging images, these photography books are must-reads and belong on every photographer’s bookshelf.

My Favorite Camera Cover for Rainy Days
Altura Photo Professional Waterproof Camera Rain Cover is made to fit almost every camera brand and protect your precious equipment.

Pop up tent for privacy
I use this inexpensive Wakeman Pop Up Changing Tent for when we need a little extra privacy when getting dressed outdoors.
Maxi Skirts
Especially great for studio sessions and holiday
minis this sequin maxi skirt or this
tulle maxi skirt is worth every penny.

Makeup
These are my favorite inexpensive cluster Eyelashes
Eyelash Glue
Not technically camera gear, but this Calais eyelash glue is the best.

Tulle Dress
It can be a coin toss ordering a big poofy dress from Amazon, but this one fluffs up to look just like it does online. Lots of movement in this dress, too.
